Committee Chair: Steve Spader
Purpose: The Planning Committee will develop and recommend the overall strategic direction for the coop, monitor progress, review results as a basis for setting new strategy, and recommend actions to the Coordinating Committee or Board of Directors.
Examples of Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Establish timelines and monitor progress
- Feasibility Study
- Research federal, state, and local laws pertaining to retail food operations, labor law, contract review and creation, bylaws, incorporation, and all other legal issues related to our organization
- Develop and maintain relationships with other coops
- Establish relationships with key members of the community
